What is the stroke definition?

A stroke is a sudden loss of brain function. It is caused by the interruption of the flow of blood in part of the brain. There are two kinds of stroke :

  1. The most common is ischemic stroke. Is is caused by a blood clot in the brain.
  2. The other kind of stroke is hemorrhagic stroke. It is caused by bleeding in the brain.

One of the risk factors for having a stroke is high blood pressure. High blood pressure which is often seen in the elderly.
